NEW ONLINE CLOWN Course (in English),

Level One.

 

Laying the foundations of the Clown: innocence, joy, simplicity, the concepts of "right" and "wrong," connecting with the heart, and learning to laugh at our own personalities from a place of love.

 

We will also create one or more "costumes" for your Clown 🤗.

 

No experience required.

 

A highly practical course suitable for beginners and semi-professionals alike; the depth of the concepts covered allows for further exploration and understanding of the Clown, even if you have been practicing for some time.

 

WHEN?

 

Tuesdays 19.30-21.00 (Madrid time)

 

(UK 18.30-20.00, New York/Montreal 13.30-15.00, Vancouver/Los Angeles 10.30-12.00.

Starts Nov 17th, till the 12th of January, 7 sessions of 90 min.

 

The dates in November: 17th and 24th.

My goal is always:

 

- To help you feel as comfortable as possible when trying to make others laugh, operating from a state of openness, innocence, and vulnerability.

 

- To show you how easy it is to make people laugh simply by doing things the "wrong" way.

 

- To help you understand how to reach that state of Clown purity and beauty.

 

- To introduce you to the law of failure and success, and why honesty is vital.

 

- To help you understand how humor works. - To help you accept yourself—in all your complexity and fragility—and ENJOY being who you are, making others laugh through your quirks and authenticity.

 

- To help you create personal routines by exploring your own tendencies, strengths, and weaknesses.

 

- To give you the insight needed to create your own routines independently in the future.

 

What will you need?

 

- A stable internet connection during the class.

 

- A clown nose that stays on securely. - Some oversized, ugly, funny, or very colorful clothing, as well as hats, wigs, or accessories.

 

- If you play an instrument—or if you own one but don't know how to play it—you are welcome to use it.

 

 You’ll finish the workshop feeling motivated, having discovered that allowing yourself to be "you"—and being accepted by others—is much easier than you thought!

 

I have been teaching for 28 years and have run the Escola de Clown Cal Clown—an international residential school located in the woods of Girona, Catalonia—for 17 years. As of 2025, the school is based in Lleida.

 

Seven years ago, I began teaching and directing online on a one-on-one basis with great success; it really works!

 

I have also created an 11-video series for learning clowning, complete with exercises.
